I have always loved science, the fact that almost everything is a mystery waiting to be explored and that one day I might to be a great Physicist, a person who can be remembered in history for uncovering one of the great mysteries of the Universe. Just this year scientists in Geneva found the Higgs Boson, one of the greatest discoveries in the history of science, something that might change our world and help us become what is know as a type 1 civilization. Discoveries like this have been found in the past and have made huge changes in the world. When electricity was first discovered by Greeks, people did not realize how useful it could be and often questioned the use of such discoveries but now today, many years later we could not image life without electricity, the room you are in now would probably be dark, you wouldn't be able to watch your nice TV, you wouldn't even be reading this blog and all these things just derive from the discovery of electricity, which seemed pointless at the time. So, what could be made in the future now that we have discovered the Higgs Boson? Could we make objects with no mass? Formula 1 cars that only weigh 1 gram? Or maybe even unlock more secrets of the Universe, such as Dark Matter and Dark Energy, could we even be able to harness Dark Energy and have god like abilities, abilities to manipulate space and time and become a type 3 or type 4 civilization.

Many of the things I will talk about may be inspired by Dr. Michio Kaku. I may even post a few of his videos on the blog. They may also come from the NASA website or other places, I will be sure to add their names to each post so you can read more. If you like this blog and want it to carry on, please donate as I would like to buy a nice camera :D

So lets talk about Graphene

Sick of buying a brand new, shiny touch screen phone, just for it to get scratched and broken. That all might change over the next few years now that scientist have discovered Graphene. In 2020 you may be using Ironman technology in your car as your 4 atom wide, transparent touch screen computer powers away.

Graphene is the first 2 dimensional material and is the thinnest material ever obtained and also the lightest! What makes Graphene truly awesome, and the reason that it is on this site is because it is the strongest material known to man, it is even stronger that diamond (No more diamond pickaxes in Minecraft) and 300 times stronger than steal! Graphene is also a conductive material and is transparent. So that's pretty much everything, but can it bend? Well yes, Graphene is also bendable and can take any form you want!

This new material opens up so many new possibilities for making airliners, mobile phones that are paper thin pretty much anything you can imagine. Graphene can also be turned into many more materials that are one atom thin.

This material is being mass produced right now by many big companies so you can expect to see Graphene any time soon. What is also very good is that these devices may be very cheap due to the fact that Graphene is not rare, in fact every time you write with your pencil, you produce little bits of Graphene!
